A new breed of flotation nozzle, the SupaPorousFloat Nozzle, is aimed squarely at the non-contact handling of products that have a permeable nature. Although this new design has its roots firmly underpinned by many years of Spooner flotation experience, it incorporates new innovative features that help to achieve the seemingly impossible.
If you have a product that is full of holes and you need to float, dry or cure it, this is the perfect machine for you.
Historically, floating permeable materials has been fraught with difficulties. The material’s holes make the formation of stable air cushions particularly troublesome.
However, following significant design, prototyping and product testing, our engineers have produced a system capable of providing:
- Contactless flotation of highly permeable products
- Large nozzle to web clearance
- Impressive heat-transfer rates
- Broad tension range capability
With this in mind, we are now inviting you to challenge us with floating even more porous or difficult substrates. We are keen to pit our knowledge and technology against any demanding products through a full range of process conditions.
